In 2021, La Vélomaritime and Friendly Frenchy combined their brands to promote their common values and identity..

Two « Friendly Frenchy X La Vélomaritime »models have been developed and will be available from the spring of 2021 on our online shop and offered to retailers.

Through this partnership, we wish to defend French know-how, the richness of our coastline and the protection of the environment.

THE VÉLOMARITIME

Linking Roscoff in Brittany to Bray-Dunes near Dunkirk in the North on the Belgian border, La Vélomaritime offers a 1475 km seaside cycle route on the EuroVelo 4 cycle route.

With Calvados Attractivité as lead partner, the Vélomaritime is a project run collectively by 14 local authorities, their tourism institutions and the Vélo & Territoires association, coordinator of the French cycling network.

Discovering the regions of Haut de France, Normandy and Brittany makes it possible to follow a route adapted to bicycles, while at the same time allowing you to discover the pleasures of each region.

The Vélomaritime website allows you to plan stages adapted to your desires and your level of training: Beginner, family, regular, sporty... The diversity of the route will allow you to meet your expectations.

The Vélomaritime has many assets: the discovery of mythical sites such as the pink granite coast, the Mont-Saint-Michel, the landing beaches, the cliffs of Etretat, the bay of the Somme and the Opal Coast.

The Vélomaritime itinerary through the sea will allow you to delight your taste buds with numerous culinary specialities.

With shellfish and crustaceans as a link, the Vélomaritime ensures you an unparalleled gustatory and cultural journey that is sure to delight the most demanding palates!

As appetizer:

Bretagne with its "galettes au sarasin", its Kouignamann and its pretty bowls of fine bubbles...

Normandy with its cheeses, spirits and sweet delights...
The Hauts-de-France with its welsh, rattes, maroilles and delicious waffles....

SHELLS

Friendly Frenchy eyewear is made from shells originating from the French coast.

The Vélomaritime itinerary will allow you to discover different production and fishing regions with their peculiarities from the English Channel to the North Sea.

The Bay of the Somme will allow you to observe the environment of the hulls used in the manufacture of our latest model Coque

A stopover by the port of Trouville-sur-Mer will allow you to discover the fishermen's stalls on a colourful boat background with a digestive walk on the Planches de Deauville.

Further on, passing through the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, you will be able to admire the rocky islet near which the bouchot mussels of the Bay are collected and incorporated into our Moule model.

To finish in beauty, the route passes through Saint-Malo where we collect scallops from Tomy Journaux. You can go to the Cale de Mordreux to enjoy a gourmet, local and seasonal cuisine.

Two models of shell glasses from our Plage collection are available as part of this partnership, they are made out of mussels, scallops and oysters: the natural Vélomaritime and the black Vélomaritime.
