THE « OTHER» HISTORY OF FRENCH SURFING... 

Our Basque uncle, a native of the country living in Bidart,had the great pleasure of inviting us to the preview of the sulphurous documentary "Biarritz Surfgan".

This screening was sold out on Thursday 25th May 2017 at the Casino de la Grande Plage in Biarritz on the sidelines of the ISA World Champs (World Surfing Championships).

Directed by Pierre Denoyel and Nathan Curren, this documentary retraces the wild history of Biarritz Surfgang from the 70s to the present day.

Archive images, unfiltered testimonies and delirious illustrations offer an immersion in a bygone era mixing surfing, travels, parties but also violence and drugs, some of which will never recover...

The room was packed, the atmosphere was teasing and the end credits of the screening were a well-deserved thunderous applause.
