WATER SKIING: WATER SKIING IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES

We were present for the finals from 8 to 10 September 2017 with our caravan.

Water skiing is a sliding sport which has the advantage of being able to be practiced on any body of water even in the absence of waves and wind.

For surf, windsurfing, kitesurfing, stand up paddle or bodysurfing (with our handplane of course!) enthusiasts who do not live by the sea, waterskiing and wakeboarding represent an ideal alternative while waiting for their next sessions.

The only disadvantage of water skiing is that participants are towed by motorised boats.
There is therefore an impact of waterskiing, wakeboarding and boating on the environment.

However, the International Water Ski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) and its partner organisations recognise the importance of protecting the environment. An environmental guide for towed sports has been created.

This is of particular interest to skiers because the possibility of practising their sport, while preserving their health, depends on clean waterways.

Marine engine manufacturers are also concerned. They must therefore innovate and today produce engines that consume less hydrocarbons and emit less noise, with reductions of around 80% for certain two-stroke engine manufacturers.

Electric boats are also an alternative.

EIn this sense, it is important to specify that many clubs have developed electric towing by cable. The FFSNW offers nearly 40 yacht clubs to discover here.

If you want to contribute to the protection of the coastline and the oceans, do not hesitate to support, like Friendly Frenchy , SURFRIDER FOUNDATION EUROPE.
